Observation

Based on the information gathered at the site visit, interviews with the child care staff and a review of the individual care plan documents, the licensor has determined that the child was given one of the allergen foods that are listed on the individual care plan that he must not consume. Also, based on a review of the child's individual care plan that was in place at the time of the incident, the staff did follow what the individual care plan stated, both the emergency response plan - which said if wheezing/breathing problems administer the inhaler; and the food allergy form said - in response to the child's allergice reaction - give prednisone. Since there was no reaction at first - the staff called the parent. So the staff did follow the ICP when there was a reaction and also followed the parent's direction to watch for a reaction. ??
